Simcluster: clustering enumeration gene expression data on the simplex space
Simcluster is a package for clustering analysis of transcript enumeration data on the simplex space.
Examples of transcript enumeration technologies are: Digital Northern powered by traditional or new technologies, such as sequencing-by-synthesis (SBS) or 454, Expressed Sequence Tags (EST) sequencing; Serial Analysis of Gene Expression (SAGE); Massively Parallel Signature Sequencing (MPSS), etc. Simcluster can be useful for other enumeration data, such as Digital PCR or Serial Analysis of Ribosomal Sequence Tags (SARST); or other non-biological compositional data.
Simcluster is protected by the GPL license and can be used, modified and distributed under its terms. Please cite Vencio and Varuzza et al. BMC Bioinformatics (2007) 8:246 if you use Simcluster in your research.
